FALL 2011 RELEASE SCHEDULE CONFIRMED

[Friday, September 16, 2011]

Willowtip’s Fall 2011 release schedule is now set and confirmed and it is undoubtedly one of the biggest line-up of albums the label has ever had the honor of releasing. Beginning on October 18th the label will release Natural Causes, the newest album from Australian progressive-metal band ALARUM. Natural Causes is the follow-up album to the 2004 Australian Kerrang! Album of the Year, Eventuality.

Also on October 18th Willowtip will be releasing Aykroyd, the newest album from Winnipeg, Canada’s instrumental 5-piece, ELECTRO QUARTERSTAFF. In the five years since E.Q.’s last album Gretzky was released, the band has added a bass player to flesh-out and expand their signature sound of “romantic melody, slippery squid stringwork, and swashbuckling grooves”.

November 1st marks the release of The Unconsciousness of Living, the new album from Italy’s ILLOGICIST. The bands previous album, The Insight Eye, received positive reviews and lead to a full US tour with label mates Impaled, Phobia, and Maruta.

In mid-November the newest offering from California death metal veterans VILE will be released. The band had previously released material via Unique Leader Records.

And finally on November 29th, the brand new album from the legendary DIM MAK will be made available. The Emergence of Reptilian Altars is the follow-up to 2006’s Knives of Ice. This album marks the debut of Joey Capizzi (The Dying Light) as the new vocalist of Dim Mak.

A song from every upcoming release is available to stream or can be downloaded for free at our Bandcamp page.
